Reality Blog: How to Blast Through Writer’s Block“Damn the torpedoes! Full steam ahead.”

The quote above is attributed to David Glasgow Farragut, a Union Admiral during the Civil War. The year was 1864. The event was the Battle of Mobile Bay. The torpedoes were actually mines, hidden in the harbor.

Despite the credible threat of danger, Admiral Farragut forged ahead, capturing the last Confederate port on the Gulf of Mexico, Fort Morgan. All but one of his 18-ship fleet made it through.

So, what does this have to do with building a successful freelance copywriting business?

Plenty.

We all have our own “Fort Morgan.” That last stronghold we must conquer before reaching our goal as freelance copywriters.

Whatever your personal “Fort Morgan” is, the harbor ahead seems littered with hidden mines, waiting to torpedo your efforts.

So, in this article, I’ll explain why it happens to me and possibly to you.
